Messiah New Hope Youth

Messiah New Hope has a variety of ways for children and youth to become involved in the church.  All children are welcome!  Bags with quiet-play toys and crayons, as well as Children’s Bulletins, books, and coloring books, are available in the back of the sanctuary.

Infant and Toddler Care

Young children are welcome in worship, but if it is needed, Messiah New Hope provides nursery care during each worship service for children up to age three. The nursery room is in the west wing of the building.  Parents who would like to stay with their child are welcome to join in the play.  The area just beyond the worship area is also available for parents to stay with their child.

Sunday School

Messiah New Hope Sunday School sessions are offered during the 9:00 and 10:30 worship hours following Labor Day until mid-May. Classes are offered for those who have reached the age of three by Sept. 1st through 5th Grade.  Contact the church at 333-0971 to register children for Sunday School.

Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts
Messiah New Hope sponsors Cub Scout Pack 160, which now meets at Messiah New Hope after many years at Anne Sullivan. The congregation recently sponsored the charter of Boy Scouts Troop 16, which also meets at Messiah New Hope.

Middle School

Wednesday night confirmation is a great experience for young Lutherans.  Confirmation is held every Wednesday evening from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. during the school year, and includes both large group and small group discussions.  Confirmation students are assigned to a small group leader, who stays with them every year they are in confirmation.  There are also service opportunities available to all Middle School-aged students, who complete 15 service hours during the confirmation year.

High School Ministry

Each week during the school year, Messiah New Hope offers something different for high school youth.  The variety of fellowship opportunities and activities includes Second Sunday, group service projects, and youth worship.  Every summer, High School students also embark on a mission trip.
