Born and raised in Lewiston, ID, Pr. Eric went to school at Augustana College (South Dakota) and Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary (California) before taking his first call on September 1, 2007 at St. Paul Lutheran in Colville, WA. He joined Messiah New Hope in March of 2017. His passions include making bacon, sampling local brews, sending kids to camp (especially Luther Heights!), proclaiming the gospel through spoken word, teaching church history, and serving those in need.
Del Hubers Choir, Traditional Worship
A native of Pipestone, MN, Del Hubers received his Bachelors Degree in Vocal/Instrumental Music Education from Dordt College (Sioux Center, IA) and a Masters Degree in Music Education from Chicago Musical College/Roosevelt University (Chicago, IL). Del has been the organist/choir director for Messiah New Hope Lutheran since Nov. 2012. Del is currently the 5th grade band director in the Brandon Valley School District. He also serves as the Artistic Director for the Singing Boys of Sioux Falls, the artistic director of the El Riad Shrine Chanters Male Chorus and is Music Director/organist at Church of the Good Shepherd (Episcopal) in Sioux Falls. Del and his husband, Kevin, have a son who attends Lincoln High School in Sioux Falls.
Nick Paulson Contemporary Worship
Originally from Wessington Springs, South Dakota, Nicolas studies theology and biblical studies and music ministry at the University of Sioux Falls. He enjoys sports, movies, and adventure. He is passionate about using music to grow in relationship with God.
Miranda Anderson Youth Director
Originally from Rosholt, SD, Miranda is currently attending the University of Sioux Falls where she is pursuing a major in elementary education. She joined Messiah New Hope in May 2017. She enjoys baking goodies, working with children of all ages, and making connections to people through Christ.
Susie Oberg Wed Night Meal Coordinator
Born in LaCrosse, WI, her father's hometown, Susie grew up in Duluth, MN. For 30 years she worked as a daycare provider and is now employed full time with Shopko. It's Wednesday Night Meals, though, that is her true passion. She loves cooking for our Open Gym and Confirmation students, as well as, choir and other adult members. her hobbies are yarn, yarn, and yarn. Susie makes hats all year round to be distributed through Food to You and other ministries during our region's colder months.
