More about me (family photos): Click Here Since 2002, I have been a Spiritual Advisor for patients at Keystone Treatment Center in Canton, SD This is my third year serving as a Mentor in the Public Schools at Anne Sullivan, our neighborhood elementary school. An interesting fact: I shook hands with President Richard Nixon, early in the Fall of 1972. A short synopsis: Graduated from Augie in January 2004 with degrees in Religion and Philosophy. Worked full time at NeSoDak Bible Camp with Lutheran Outdoors in Waubay, SD. Worked at camp total of 5 summers. Met my beautiful wife Alicia at NeSoDak {married Sept 2006}. Alicia and I enjoy spending time with our familes and our two nephews, traveling when we have the chance and doing small improvements on our new home. An interesting fact: While living and working at camp, I was the resident lumberjack and blacksmith. |

However, I have always wanted to teach music, and two years ago I went back to college! I am in my last year at Augustana College working to earn my music education degree. My dream is to be a band director! :) I have three children. This summer I married Ken Birnstiehl, who has five children! We have decided that eight is enough! Ha! We both love children and are finding the commotion in our house quite fun (most of the time)! :) An interesting fact: Ken and I rode 444 miles across the state of Iowa this summer on our bicycles (the RAGBRAI ride). We even rode with Lance Armstrong for a few quick seconds! :) |
